What I did in the game
- I worked on defining and prototyping the game's core mechanics
- I worked on polishing the game visually and in terms of game feel
- I worked on balancing the game by getting feedback from beta players


Challenges
- Bring an elaborate polish to a more limited tool like Construct 2
- Take a retro game as a base and bring modern sensibilities without being obvious
- Bring simple controls and communicate mechanics in a minimalist way
Learnings
- Guiding the game's balance philosophy towards the power fantasy that the game proposes is better than trying to make a very challenging game
- Finding a balance between shaping the design to the limitations of the tool and using the tool to its fullest to serve the game's design
